Ægir Bryggeri protects its name and design to prevent conflicts

Ægir Bryggeri was started in 2007 and is today one of Norway's leading craft breweries. The owners have chosen to protect the name and design of the product to prevent time-consuming conflicts, so that they can focus on beer brewing instead.

Ægir Bryggeri was started in 2007 and is today one of Norway's leading craft breweries. A key word in Ægir's philosophy is diversity, because they believe that people deserve a choice when it comes to beer too - especially in combination with good food.

Ægir continues with the development of exciting and flavorful quality beer, now tapping into environmentally friendly cans that preserve the beer's quality better than glass bottles.

The owners of the brewery have registered the name brand Ægir, as well as a good number of product names. In addition, they have design registered various ornaments.

– We have worked hard to build a reputation for our beer in Norway, and now we are investing heavily in export. It is important to us that we do not get lost in conflicts that can be time- and resource-consuming. We would rather focus on what we do best - brewing good beer!

Ægir Bryggeri was contacted by an attorney who made them aware of how important it is to protect trademarks and designs. Since then, the brewery has used them to handle applications all over the world, with great success.
